Posts: 1,173 Group: Member Member #10,454 Joined: November 6, 2013	I like the Buu Arc, it had its ups and downs but it was fun to see the saiyans rise to an extreme power, I do hate how people think that Gotenks is 500x Goku and etc. I dont like how games exclude the Buu Saga, I love Vegetas design, I love SSJ and Fusion, I love Gotenks weird usage of Ki (He created a sentient being ffs, hes a god!), I love Vegetto (who doesnt). Buu should have been a villain with a great personality like Cell and Frieza, Super Buu should have maybe absorbed earths population instead of killing them and in turn giving him a greater mind, basically a Buu from Dragon Ball Multiverse.

That's one of the main criticisms of the Buu saga: it was geared up for Gohan to take over (cell games, mystic/ultimate) but then Goku ends up defeating Buu. It's been mentioned in these 'Why do people hate Buu saga' threads alot.

It's been mentioned in these 'Why do people hate Buu saga' threads alot. Oh I see. Sorry for the miscommunication. One thing I do like is that the Genki-Dama finally worked in obliterating a villain. It fails against Vegeta, fails against Frieza but finally against Buu it works. It's like 3rd time is the charm. I'm glad they didn't give Goku yet another transformation or something to beat Buu. One thing I didn't like was the introduction of another villain who regenerates. We got the shock of Cell's regeneration already. The fact that Buu does it as well is just laziness to me, personally. Though I do like the idea that he is "rubber gum" It just takes away from the severity of some of the bigger attacks. Vegeta's sacrifice is negated, Gotenks' awesome Ghost Kamikaze attack is negated. They even go through the trouble of destroying the bits but the steam is what regenerates...seems like major cop outs constantly. Hell even Buu self destructs and regenerates himself! Way too many inconsistencies, contradictions, ridiculous power boosts, character flaws, etc. for me to consider it well put together. However, the drawings/animation is great (outside of a few episodes) and the battles are intense and thrilling. It was a also a little too wash/rinse/repeat compared to the overall story. I would have liked to see Toriyami come up with something fresh, like an all out alien invasion on Earth or something. That way every character could have played their part in the story and still given the Saiyans a big bad guy to battle.

Chrome	Eh, It could've been great, I liked the start, Gohan, the tournament, but once SSJ3 and Gotenks came in it just went downhill, since everyone screwed around in every fight, not to mention the spotlight switching from Gohan to Goku, which I didn't like.
